Lewis & Clark Learning Landscape

A learning Landscape

Covering 3.5 acres Phase II of the design of the visitor experience for the Confluence Tower adds an interpretive landscape element to the site by creating a system of trails with interpretive stations/plantings, each detailing discoveries Lewis & Clark made on their journey; a prairie grass wetland and pond; picnic shelters, and an amphitheatre.

Phase II was made possible in large part by a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
