The Georgia Department of Natural Resources hired Signature Design to interpret the native plants and animals along the Helen to Hardman Heritage Trail, as well as the area’s rich history.

Design Approach

The Helen to Hardman Heritage Trail travels along the scenic Chattahoochee River and provides people with opportunities for recreation, scenic beauty, access to fishing platforms, and an interactive interpretive experience designed by Signature Design. 

Our design approach included not only informative signs, but also web-links for those interested in a deeper dive into the area’s story and engaging video content. The signs also incorporate playful interpretive games such as the "Jumping Game" and the "Whistle Stop,” which provide fun for all ages. Social media prompts, such as the "Greetings from Hardman Farm” peep-hole that provides a selfie "postcard,” further engage walkers and bikers along the trail.
